This bit lies quietly in the horse‘s mouth as the cheeks prevent the bit from being pulled through and therefore avoids inconvenient pressure on the back teeth. The mouthpiece remains in the correct central position of the tongue ensuring the rein aids work perfectly in the horse‘s mouth.

The cheeks are most helpful with turning aids especially with young horses. The gentle pressure against the face on the outside of the turn supports the rider‘s aid making turns much easier for the horse to understand and for the rider to carry out. The upper part of the cheeks are curved outwards away from the horse to avoid uncomfortable pressure on the jaws.

KK ULTRA – Compared to conventional bits, the double jointed KK ULTRAs have a middle link – also known as the bean – that is shortened and angled forward by 45°.
Only with this angle the middle link lies gently on the tongue resulting in even and constant contact to allow clear instructions through the reins.
The innovative KK ULTRA bits take advantage of the exceptional sensitvity of the horse‘s tongue which multiplies the perceptions from signals given by the bit. When the reins are pulled the middle part of the KK ULTRA fully rests on the tongue without squeezing and the connection rings roll on the tongue. The tongue‘s sense of touch is utilised and clear instructions can be given.

It is the distinctive composition of copper, manganese and zinc that makes SENSOGAN® so special. With a reduced copper content the oxidation process is still maintained, however, the extraordinary combination with manganese is what makes the difference. This combination results in a smoother and more regulated process of oxidation. Tests show a very positive influence on the horse’s satisfaction, motivation and willingness to perform. The copper discharge quantity into the horse’s saliva is reduced considerably, which helps to keep the noble white- gold colour for a longer time. The new ingredient manganese on the other hand is an important micronutrient. As a crucial component and activator of enzymes, manganese is highly relevant for building up connective tissue as well as for the muscle and energy metabolism. It can therefore be helpful in preventing muscle tension and in supporting stress reduction. Beyond that, manganese is needed for the reduction of histamine and can prevent allergic skin reactions. Also, the feed industry discovered manganese to be a promising food additive that is gaining in importance in modern feeding of sport horses.
