INDICATIONS
Swollen limbs of the horse, or edema, usually occur near a joint (knee, fetlock or phalanx) or tendon (flexor tendon on the back surface of the limb) and are commonly due to an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the tissues. The normal turgidity of the tissues depends on a perfect balance between the local water inflow and outflow. In paraphysiological or pathological conditions (trauma), when this balance is disturbed, there may be stagnation of liquid in the tissue interstices with an increase in the total quantity of the liquid itself and then the swelling occurs.

Ice-Tight performs its absorbing and transuding activity, compared to the liquids accumulated at the tissue level, thanks to the presence of substances such as Kaolin and Bentonite which cause the skin to expel these liquids while forming a protective layer that wraps and protects the whole limb from external agents. The Glycerine contained in Ice-Tight also produces an emollient effect in the presence of any contractures present in the tendon.
Thanks to its Aloe Vera content, Ice-Tight also performs an important refreshing, defatigating and analgesic action that gives immediate relief to the horse after work.
Ice-Tight also contains Boric Acid, which is very useful in cases of wounds from the hoof, where it prevents the development of germs (fungi or bacteria) due to infections of the sole and of the frog. Boric acid is also useful in cases of so-called "corns and sole bruises" where, softening the sole, it favors the elimination of any liquid collection.

METHOD OF USE
Remove dirt or any dressings on the part to be treated, then apply a layer of about 6 mm of Ice-Tight on the affected limb (s) from the swelling or trauma. Cover everything with a plastic film or oiled paper, so as to promote maximum exudation of the treated part, and proceed with a normal rest bandage.
For application in cases of corns and sole bruises or pointy wounds, shape the right amount of Ice-Tight under the sole of the horse and allow it to stay by applying a suitable bandage. It is easily removed with water.

COMPOSITION
Kaolin, Bentonite, Water, Glycerine, Boric acid, Ferrous sulphate, Aloe vera with mint fragrance.
