VITA-MIN E & SELENIUM FARNAM

Specific supplement for the muscles and to enhance fertility in mares and stallions.
It contains balanced levels of vitamin E and selenium.


INDICATIONS

Vita-Min E & Selenium is formulated to protect the muscles of all categories of mares and to prevent myodystrophic lesions of the foal.
It can also stimulate fertility in mares and stallions.
Numerous factors such as intense work, pregnancy, lactation, growth, the addition of fats in the diet determines the depletion of the reserves of Vitamin E and Selenium, essential elements for the body.
The administration of Vitamin E in sport horses should not be less than 3 grams per day.
This is why Vitamin E and Selenium are especially recommended for athletic horses, subjected to intensive training, as they improve muscle endurance and prevent myopathies.
Therefore the synergistic action of Vitamin E and Selenium limits tissue damage by free radicals, produced by cellular oxidation; in fact, if left free, the free radicals damage the tissues, especially the cell membranes.
Vitamin E eliminates oxygen radicals and lipid peroxides by stabilizing their chemical structure, while Selenium is fundamental in the formation of the enzyme glutathione peroxidase, useful for removing free radicals.
It is also fundamental to emphasize that the Vitamin E used by Farnam is ideal for the horse because it is present in its most stable form: tocopherol acetate.


METHOD OF USE

One measuring spoon contains about 30 grams of product (2 mg of Selenium).
Mix the product with the food at the following daily doses: Horses in training, stallions in activity and mares: 1/4 (about 7.5 grams) - 1/2 scoop (about 15 grams) per day. Foals: 1/4 scoop (7.5 grams approximately) per day.
