When to use Biotin Pro 3,000: Biotin Pro 3,000 is the perfect product to use as a maintenance treatment after the administration of Biotin Plus 10,000. Its administration is suggested in horses with brittle or weak hooves due to poor horn tissue and, therefore, needing to be supplemented for long periods. Biotin is synthesized from fungi, yeasts, algae and some bacteria (all elements that are not included in horses' diets) (46) and, therefore, its quantity produced by the intestine is often insufficient. Moreover, cereals are a very poor source of available biotin (80). Therefore, sporthorses' rations often lead to biotin deficiency.

Properties of its constituents: Biotin Pro 3,000 contains DL-methionine and chelated salts of zinc. These substances reinforce biotin's effects on hoof growth (58, 85, 98), therefore increasing Biotin Pro 3,000 efficacy.

Use and dosage: Administer 30-50 g of Biotin Pro 3,000 per day, properly mixed with the daily ration, for at least three consecutive months. Doses depend on hooves' health status (higher doses lead to a faster growth).
