When to use Condro Plus: Condro Plus is specifically formulated to better joints function and cartilage lubrication in sporthorses, thus improving their general well-being. From 8 years old on, horses' diets should always be supplemented with Condro Plus. In fact, from this age on, the rate of tissue breakdown exceeds the rate of synovial fluid production: synovial fluid amount decreases progressively and, therefore, its production needs to be supported and stimulated.


Properties of its constituents: Condro Plus’ main ingredient is methyl sulphonyl methane (MSM), whose many effects are well-known. MSM is a sulfurated compound containing about 34% of elementary sulphur and taking part to several chemical reactions. In facts, in joints, some amino acids, vitamins and very complex substances, such as glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), contain sulphur. Several empirical studies show that dietary supplementation with substances, such as glucosamine, chondroitin sulphate and methyl sulphonyl methane, improves horses' freedom of movement and their articular health and well-being (25, 28, 29). It is scientifically proven that methyl sulphonyl methane has visible results against sacroiliac problems, some kinds of arthritis and epiphysitis (12). MSM is a sulfurated compound accumulating in horses' blood (21), thus increasing sulphur bioavailability. Sulphur has been classified as non-toxic by the American FDA (12). The technique employed in the considered study indicate that MSM is almost certainly absorbed intact (21). Condro Plus combines classic cardioprotective agentsand new substances, discovered in recent scientific researches. Indeed, it is supplemented with oak bark extract, containing a high concentration of quercetin, and lycopene from tomato peel concentrated extract. According to recent researches, these innovative substances in the field of joint regeneration stimulate articular chondrocytes growth by feeding them and, consequently, increasing their number. Therefore, they can boost synovial fluid production. Moreover, Condro Plus contains hyaluronic acid provided by sodium hyaluronate, which reinforce even more cartilage production and lubrication.


Use and dosage:

Horses with ascertained disorders: Administer 60 g of Condro Plus per day, properly mixed with the daily ration.

Sporthorses aged 8 or over: Administer 50 g of Condro Plus per day, properly mixed with the daily ration.

Ponies: Administer 40 g of Condro Plus per day.

Administer Condro Plus for at least 30 consecutive days.

This product does not cause any adverse reaction. Nevertheless, since every organism has its own peculiarities, dietary supplements, feeds and complementary feeds should always be introduced in a horse’s diet gradually, in order to evaluate the product’s effects on the horse.
